Tradeskills For Lord of The Rings Online
Tradeskills are skills that allow you to make things in LOTRO, you must first choose a vocation. Each vocation has a gathering profession where you can gather the raw materials that allow you to craft items (except Scholar who's materials can only be found by looting), Each Tradeskill needs a gathering profession from another vocation, So although multiple Vocations allow you to be a tailor only some allow you to be a forester so you must buy or trade for the raw materials needed.
What Tradeskills Are There?
The weaponsmith is the profession for making weapons, using a forge these crafters are able to create swords, axes, hammers etc etc
Metalsmiths is the profession required to make heavy armor & sheilds, these are vital elements of any captain or champions victory, so if you chose that as your class be sure to seek out a metalsmith
A master a creating light armor from leather and skins, althought this armor is no where near as effective as medium or heavy armor, Also Lore Masters, Minstrels and Hunters require this light armor as they are unable to use heavier armor until there levels are further up.
Jeweler can create beautiful objects and accessories, these can be used in a wide variety of manners.
Woodworkers are masters of the bow & spear creation, these deadly ranged weapons will ensure that you can inflict as much damage to your opponent before he even gets to strike you back.
Everyone needs to eat, and this if the profession of the cook using his cooking supplies they are able to rustle up some fine grub using only the best ingredients, food can have varous different effects but the main reason for it is to heal you back to full strength.
The scholar collects lost lore from the 1st and 2nd ages of middle earth and uses this information to make amazing recipes that will allow other crafters to make them.
The farmer, cultivator of land he uses his skills to grow fields of crops for sale or for use with his other professions
