Overview
The Month of the Guardian is here! Guardians are receiving attention to
both their primary tanking role and secondary damage-per-second role.
We hope you'll enjoy these changes and the new depth they bring to the
role of the Guardian.
Already the hardiest class in Middle-earth, the Guardian is able to
withstand relentless onslaughts. Capable of maintaining a high level of
threat generation, only the foolish and overly aggressive dare try to
outpace them. Where this class is weakest is the ability to actually
kill their foes.
We do believe that Guardians perform their core tanking role well. The
changes in the Month of the Guardian are largely designed to provide
interesting and viable alternative playstyles for the class while
addressing core concerns such as repair costs and offensive stances.
Tanking - In the Line of Fire
We've added some new tools to the Guardian's tanking toolbox, the first
being Shield Wall: the ability to protect a single target from incoming
attacks (though leaping in front of attacks doesn't allow the Guardian
to mitigate any of the damage on himself!). The goal of Shield Wall is
to allow the Guardian to save someone in trouble by standing in harm's
way.

Following a debate regarding same-sex marriage and inter-species marriage, Turbine, the company developing The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar, just decided to pull marriages from the game altogether. According to Katherine Glover of Salon, the decision came from the executive producer himself, and the marriage feature was completely removed from the game.
The MMO title of the "Lord of the Rings" franchise is still in heavy development, although it had entered the Beta testing period back in September. Entering a discussion of features that should be added into the game, the developers found themselves talking about marriage and the restrictions of such a feature available inside the game.

A Morroval appears to be a cross between a bat and a mortal woman, but if the blood of Man ever ran within its veins, it has become utterly corrupt and evil. These creatures are not mere beasts, acting strictly upon instinct. They are instead cunning and skilful in the use of arms. It is rumored that they may have some powers beyond the mundane, as well. The Merrevail dwell in the ruined realm of Angmar, in service to the Iron Crown and the Steward of Angmar.
The Middle-earth of The Lord of the Rings OnlineTM: Shadows of AngmarTM (LOTRO) is populated by many creatures, old and new, wondrous and mundane. The Merrevail are only one of many new creatures created by the developers, drawing from lore sources, which players will encounter in LOTRO.

NEW PLAYERS - RECOMMENDED SERVERS
As people pack their bags and move to Middle-earth they are faced with an important question - which server do I choose!?
That's a good question! Currently the populations of the servers look like this:
Lowest population - recommended!
[EN] Gilrain
[DE] Vanyar
[DE] Maiar
[FR] Sirannon
[FR-RP] Estel
Highest population - login queues likely!
[EN] Snowbourn
[EN] Evernight
[EN] Eldar
[EN-RP] Laurelin
[DE] Morthond
[DE-RP] Belegaer
Login queues are likely on the highest population worlds so in order to avoid potential queuing, please choose one of the lower populated worlds.
What do the letters mean in front of the names? Another great question!...........
